The Portland Baptist Church places a high priority on prayer.  Prayer groups meet during the week – 10.30 am on a Tuesday morning and 7am on a Friday morning.  Confidential prayer requests are distributed to those attending these meetings and then collected at the end of the prayer time for shredding.

General prayer notes are distributed each week via the Church Network. There is also a prayer chain that contacts all those who are on the church computer network.

These requests come to the Pastor, John Simpson 5523 2257, who immediately puts them on the church email network.

Monthly Prayer Day is held on a “come for as little time or as long time as you can spare” on the second Friday of each month from 2.00pm to 9.00pm.  These are special opportunities where the needs of the church, the community and the world are prayed over.
